The signs of stress are numerous and highly individual. Stress is caused, to a very large extent, by your perception of it. Something that's stressful to you may not in the least bother someone else; they may even enjoy it.

Your morning commute may make you anxious and tense because you fret that unexpectedly slow traffic will make you late. Other people may find the same commute relaxing because it is their time to listen to an audio book while they drive.

We normally think of stress as being anything that is negative, such as an exhausting work schedule or a rocky relationship.

However, anything that puts high demands on you, creates uncertainty or forces you to adjust can be stressful.

Poor judgment, Memory problems, Inability to concentrate, Seeing only the negative, Anxious or racing thoughts, Constant worrying.

BEHAVORIAL STRESS SYMPTOMS:

Eating more or less, Isolating yourself from others, Sleeping too much or too little, Procrastinating or neglecting responsibilities, Using alcohol, nicotine, or drugs to relax, Nervous habits (nail biting, pacing).

Unchecked stress is not only life destroying but life threatening.

However there are numerous things you can do to reduce stress' stranglehold on you!
